A new Heroes book has been released today which covers a storyline that is only briefly alluded to in the show, and which means that Hiro fans will get a whole new insight and perspective into the chatacter.

Hiro Nakamura possesses the remarkable power to control time. And like his uniquely blessed comrades, he’s on a mission for the good of humankind. But another challenge awaits him: saving the love of his life from an unspeakable death. Charlene “Charlie” Andrews is the big-hearted, small-town beauty whose sunny smile and sweet soul knocked the shy Hiro head over heels. But when Charlie’s young life is snuffed out by a grisly serial killer, their budding romance is brutally cut short.

Or is it? Thanks to his astounding newfound skill, Hiro has the means to do what no tragedy-stricken lover in history ever could–turn back time. And no matter how raw his abilities, or how many twists of circumstance conspire to foil him, he vows to deliver Charlie from the evil poised to claim her. He will be her hero.

But what possible consequences might changing the past visit upon the future? How could saving one cherished life affect millions of others? And what ultimate choice will Hiro make when the power of fate rests in his hands?

Anyone suffering from Heroes writer’s strike blues should probably pick this up! It is a hardcover book, but it also comes in a Kindle version if you have one!

More scoop on Heroes Claire’s new boyfriend

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We know a little bit more about Claire’s boyfriend, which we announced was being played by Nick D’Agosto. According to Ausiello, “Not sure what his special power is, but I hear he’ll do something rather unprecedented to Claire.”

Hmmmm…. thoughts? Well, I suppose pregnancy would be unprecedented!

Kristen Bell joins the cast of Heroes

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

After speculation that Kristen Bell would be joining the cast of Lost (which was my top choice!), Bell has changed her mind and joined the cast of Heroes instead. She is joining for a multiple episode arc.

Lost’s loss is the Heroes gang’s gain. Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell has been cast in what is being pegged as a “key multi-episode arc” for the second season of Heroes. Per Variety, Bell will first appear in October as Elle, “a sexy, mysterious young lady who (Spoiler alert) has ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and Claire’s future. Landing the in-demand actress “was not easy to pull off,” Heroes creator Tim Kring tells the trade. “But since we’re an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in (Bell’s) schedule.”

Unreliable sources say Bell’s Heroes alter ego has the power to utterly destroy a person with a witty retort.

Heroes spoilers on Niki’s upcoming season

Friday, August 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

heroes.jpg

The ever cryptic Ausiello has this little gem…

We’ll be seeing less of Ali Larter this fall as Niki takes off early in the season to, as Larter herself teases, “fix something. And once it’s fixed, it will be very shocking and exciting.”

Hmmmm… any thoughts?

David Anders joins Heroes as a new second season hero

Monday, June 25th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

davidanders.jpg

David Anders of Alias fame has just signed onto the hit Heroes… and get this, he’ll play a 1000-year-old character, Kensei.

Though NBC has not yet announced it, my Heroes moles tell me it is official: Anders has been given the much coveted series-regular role of Kensei, a Sark-ish character who just so happens to be 1,000 years old, for the upcoming second season of Heroes. I’m told Anders starts work on the show on Monday.

Definitely lots of new people signing on for this second season of Heroes, I an starting to wonder how they will get enough screen time for them all!

The Sopranos actress Dania Ramirez joins Heroes

Thursday, June 21st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

daniaramirez.jpg

Looks like Dania Ramirez, who recently had a recurring role on the now-completed series The Sopranos, has signed onto Heroes.

She’ll be a regular and play a character with powers, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but the show is keeping any other details under wraps.

“Heroes” put out the call for several new characters last month — including a surrogate mother for Niki’s (Ali Larter) son and a boyfriend for Claire (Hayden Panettiere) — but Ramirez is expected to be the only series regular among the new group. It will also up the female contingent on the series; “Heroes” ended its season with only two women, Larter and Panettiere, among its nine surviving regulars.

Ramirez recently wrapped up a recurring part on “The Sopranos,” playing A.J.’s (Robert Iler) fiancee; her ending of the relationship sent him into a spiral of depression. She also co-starred in NBC’s drama pilot “Fort Pit” this past development season.

Next season is shaping up to kick some butt!

Nick D’Agosto joins Heroes as Claire’s boyfriend

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

nickdagosto.jpg

We knew Claire would be getting a sexy new boyfriend in the second season of Heroes. But now we know who has been cast in the recurring role… Nick D’Agosto!

Word on the street is that the character, named West, will have a very cool super power, but of course they aren’t spilling the beans on what exactly it will be yet.

This past development season, D’Agosto co-starred opposite Marisa Tomei in CBS’ comedy pilot “The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud.” Last year, he played the male lead opposite Mena Suvari in another CBS pilot, the drama “Orpheus.”

D’Agosto will next be seen in the indie comedy-drama “Rocket Science,” which premiered to strong reviews at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Too bad the new season of Heroes is still months away!

Heroes season two will take place four months after the first season finale

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Whoa! Spoilers have it that when the second season of Heroes kicks off, it will actually be starting four months after what happened in the first season finale. And because of this, fans will be left scratching their heads and wondering what in the world happened during those four months, since it sounds like everything will be in a tail spin.

I caught up with Hayden Panettiere at last Thursday’s Entourage premiere and she revealed that the first episode picks up four months after the finale. “A lot of things happened [during those four months] that people don’t know about,” she teased. “A lot of things changed and people will be like, ‘Whoa!’”

Hmmmm….

New Heroes being introduced tonight on season finale of Heroes

Monday, May 21st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

heroes.jpg

Along with seeing the first three minutes of season two, fans will also be introduced to some new Heroes! Bad news is that some of the older Heroes will be leaving.

Perhaps Micah will face come competition with new Heroes. Kring has promised to continue exploring new people with new powers. “There are several new characters coming in the immediate future,” said Kring. “The idea of the show from the start was always to basically honor the origin story of the first sort of flush and discovery of these powers. So in order to do that, new characters will have to be cycled into the show. By extension, older characters will cycle out of the show.”

I wonder which other older Heroes will be getting the boot?

Season Two of Heroes to be Volume Two: Generations

Monday, May 21st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

An interesting comment by Masi Oka, who plays Hiro on Heroes, about tonight’s season finale, including an interesting tidbit about how the seasons work. He reveals that season two is actually referred to as Volume Two, with the name “Generation”.

Hiro himself, Masi Oka, gave more hints about where the finale leaves us for Season Two. “The way the finale ends, it’s a wrapping up of Volume One, which is ‘Genesis,’” said Oka. “It wraps up the whole bomb storyline so it’s a nice finale and there’s a great cliffhanger with everybody I would say. And then you do get to see a little bit of Volume Two, which is called ‘Generation.’”

Series creator Tim Kring was reluctant to expand upon the “Generation” title, but gave a little tease anyway. “Well, there has clearly been the idea [that] multiple generations have started to crop up on the show,” said Kring. “In the second season, we’ll deal with that more. So hence the title ‘Generation.’”

This also means that they are planning to have each season serve more closely as a stand-alone season, so fans who have never seen an episode can start with the first episode of season two and not feel completely lost.

The plan is to give each season its own story, rather than maintain one overall arc as Lost is attempting. “The idea was that we wanted to make it easy for viewers to be able to come on in the second season,” said Kring. “We thought if we wrapped the show too tightly around itself so that you had to have watched 22 episodes before, it would be harder for the new viewers to join in the show. We always want to be a show that has the barrier of entry low enough so that new viewers can join whenever they want.”

And as an added bonus, fans will see the first three minutes of “Generation” in tonight’s season finale.

Whatever it is, when you see the end of Heroes, you’ll know exactly where we’ll pick up next year. “The last three minutes are the beginning of next season which is cool,” said Grunberg. “That’s what he means. The last three minutes of the season finale are the first three minutes of next season, which is something we’ve been doing on the show all year long.”

Heroes season finale spoiler about the bomb!

Thursday, May 17th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

heroes.jpg

So we have been hearing about this bomb that is supposed to go off in the season finale. Well, it turns out we may be taking the word bomb a bit too literally.

In cryptic Ausiello style:

“The bomb” is a series regular, male and was in the pilot.

Any guesses?

New Heroes spoilers & videos for season finale

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Here are some video clips from the season finale of Heroes, the episode is titled “How to Stop an Exploding Man”. The first one is the Canadian promo with different footage than what fans in the US saw.

But first for spoilers, it looks suspiciously like Matt is the one dying. Simone is back and Molly seems to be sick again.

And Kristen from E! has some great spoilers for the finale:

Four Characters End the Season “in Peril”: This is what the cast told me today, and I think “peril” is code for “may or may not be coming back next season.” The good news? I can assure you that Hayden, Milo, Adrian and Ali will all be back for sure next season. I personally think D.L. (duh), Matt (shown injured in the preview) and Ando are most at risk. (Micah and Molly are of course safe, ’cause you can’t kill kids on television!)

Hiro Is So That Ancient Warrior Kensei: It almost seems obvious now, right?

Enjoy!

Clea DuVall likely returning for Heroes season finale

Thursday, March 8th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Looks like Clea DuVall fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Sounds like she will be back for the May 21st season finale on Heroes!

Killed off Heroes star Simone Deveaux returns for future episodes

Monday, February 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We knew a Hero was getting killed on Heroes. And we discovered it was Simone Deveaux, who was accidentily shot by Isaac. But Tawny Cypress, who plays Simone, revealed that fans have not seen the last of her character Simone.

TVGuide.com: Condolences, babe. How long have you known about this?
Tawny Cypress: Since mid-December. [Heroes creator/executive producer] Tim Kring called me personally. The second I heard his voice on the phone, I knew. I was really in shock. I went into a cave and didn’t talk to anybody. But after much crying, I’m OK with it. Besides, it’s not over over. In the world of Heroes, anything can happen! I come back in the Mar. 5 episode, and I come back on at least one other occasion after that. So it’s not the end end for me, but it’s the end of what was.

So what do you think this means? We knew she didn’t have a “power” per se. But what if she develops one post-death? Is she a Hero who really isn’t dead? Or will she be merely seen in flashbacks after this?

A female Hero will be shot on Heroes… by another Hero!

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

heroes3.jpg

Ausiello has some stellar Heroes scoop, including that one of the female Heroes will be shot, and the shooter will be another Hero!

A female Hero will get shot during sweeps, and you’re never going to guess by whom. (Hint No. 1: It’s another Hero — and a good one at that. Hint No. 2: It may be tied to this teaser NBC just released for the Feb. 26 episode: “H.R.G.’s past catches up to him as Matt and Ted Sprague come to Texas looking for answers, and take him, his wife, his son and Claire hostage.”

Doncha just love February :)

Eric Roberts joins the cast of Heroes

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Eric Roberts (and brother to Julia Roberts) has joined the cast of NBC’s Heroes. He will play Thompson, a new associate of Claire’s uber-creepy father H.R.G. (Jack Coleman).

No word on when his first episodes will air or if he has taped any episodes yet.
